If you are accepted into The Weight Loss Podcast Academy, you will be taught a proven, evidence-based system that has changed our lives personally, as well as the lives of hundreds and hundreds of people we've worked with around the world since 2010. No guesswork, no random shit. Everything we do is structured top to bottom.
This will include everything you will ever need to not only reach your goals, but know how to keep your results long-term, from personalised exercise programming along with the education on how and why it is structured so you can eventually create your own program, to learning the ins and outs of nutrition and supplements so that you can become your own nutritionist once you're finished with us, a fully structured 1-2 year learning curriculum that will guarantee you know more about this than 99% of Personal Trainers and Coaches out there, ongoing support and coaching from us personally, and an environment with like-minded people who are on a similar path to you and us.
The reasons we are highly selective about who joins our Academy is because we only want to invest our own time and energy into people who are committed to changing their lives. By this we mean people who will continue to show up and put in the work even when life gets hard.
If we bring in everyone and anyone, which was a mistake we have made before, it's only going to lower the standards of ourselves and our community. It will also burn us out and make us dislike what we do, so it is our responsibility to keep the standards high for ourselves and our clients.
Also, because we don't have other coaches working for us, you are going to be coached by us. Personally. So we only have a limited amount of time and energy for this each week and we want to make sure our clients get the absolute best out of us which is what they deserve. There is nothing worse than trying to help people who have goals and dreams we care about more than they do. It never works.
For starters we measure our success with clients by how ready they are to not need us, or anyone or any other program again, once we're finished together. We know we've done our jobs when you don't have to come back!
We also work in a way where we adapt the program to suit you and your needs, rather than try to shoehorn you into something that isn't going to work for the demands of your life.
Real success with this can come about when you are equipped with the knowledge, skills, tools and habits to be able to approach any situation/season in your life. From a 9-5 job to shift work, from school holidays and weekends to frequent travel or a busy social life. We've got you covered and will teach you how to make this work in any situation.
We also do not weigh our clients, because we know that if we teach you what you need to learn, and we help you build healthy, sustainable and repeatable habits then the weight will take care of itself. It always does.
We do not ask our clients to count their calories. Yes you can lose weight counting calories, but you can also lose weight not counting calories, so we prefer to do less in this respect. Plus by taking the focus away from the numbers, it allows you to better learn the signals and cues your body sends you daily, as we help you figure out what foods work best for your body. This will be different from person to person.
Which is also why we don't give out meal plans. Actually, we hate them. We prefer to teach you how to create your own meal plan for yourself based on foods you love to eat and you know are helping you look, function and feel your best. How bad is it when you're given a meal plan that you are told to follow and you hate half the foods on there?!
Finally, with our learning structure we only teach you what you need to learn when you need to learn it. We do not drop 40 years of science-based knowledge and education all at once. You've got a life to live, we don't want what you're doing with us to take over your life. That's how you resent the process. We focus on a do-able, sustainable process that is flexible and can be adjusted to suit you, your learning style and your timetable.
If you are feeling skeptical, then you should. 99% of stuff out there is BS. We know it, you know it. We aren't going to make you any magical promises on how quickly you can lose weight, you've heard that shit before and you know it's garbage.
It is really as simple as this - this will work if you do.
Another way to put it is that when you work with us, one of two outcomes are guaranteed - it works, or you give up before it does.
We've done this ourselves personally and with enough people now for a very long time to know that what we do works provided you are prepared to show up and put in the hard yards.
This will not be quick and this will not be easy...and you will not be the exception to this rule. That's why we have a minimum 12-month commitment, and most of our clients stay with us for 2-3 years. Doing this right takes time and is hard as f**k. But when done right, you are set for life.
