The three episodes and the one training I'd send anyone new to The Weight Loss Podcast.

Start with Episode 1

Welcome.

If you're new here, I'm Matt. My wife Courtney and I run this podcast.

We've been where you probably are right now. Sick of starting over. Sick of "Monday, I'll really get into it." Sick of plans that work for three weeks and then unravel the second real life gets in the way.

Between us we've lost 105kg and 11 clothing sizes. We've coached over 500 people 1-on-1. And the one thing we've learnt above everything else is this:

You don't fail because you need more motivation, more discipline, or a stricter plan.

You fail because no-one's taught you the skills to stay consistent when life gets hard.

That's what the podcast is about. That's what we teach.

There are 245+ episodes in the back catalogue, and that's a lot to wade through. So I've picked the three I'd send to anyone landing here for the first time. Listen to them in order. They build on each other.

Then if you want to go deeper, scroll to the bottom and watch the private training.

Let's go.

Episode 1

Start with our stories.

Before you take advice from anyone, you should know who's giving it.

My version: 180kg at my heaviest. 7XL shirts. Hospitalised with Type 2 diabetes in my twenties. Avoiding mirrors, dodging social events, pretending I didn't care.

Courtney's version is different in the details and identical in the feeling. Chasing fitness influencer PDFs that taught her nothing. Training hard and watching nothing change. Eventually getting fed up enough to actually learn how the body works. Down 25kg. Five dress sizes. A completely rebuilt relationship with food.

Both episodes are the unfiltered versions. Not the highlight reels. The actual messy, slow, human stuff.

If you've ever felt like you're "too far gone" or like the version of yourself you want is impossible from where you're standing right now. Listen to whichever resonates first. Or both.

Episode 2

Then learn the pattern that's been keeping you stuck.

If you've ever caught yourself saying "this time I'll do it 100%," and then watched the whole thing collapse by Wednesday, this episode is for you.

All-or-nothing thinking is the single most common pattern we see in people who can't get traction. It's not a willpower problem. It's not a discipline problem.

It's a pattern. And once you can see it, you can break it.

This is the one we wish every new listener heard early.

Episode 3

Now apply it to real life.

Theory is easy. The hard part is staying on track when sick kids, work chaos, family drama and no sleep keep blowing up your week.

This episode is everything we've learned about staying consistent in the messy middle. The actual moves that work when life keeps punching you in the face.

If you take one practical lesson from these three episodes, take this one.

Go Deeper

Want the full picture?

Once you've worked through those three, I recorded a private training that goes a level deeper.

It walks through the 4 biggest mistakes that keep smart, busy people stuck in the weight loss loop. And what to do instead so you can finally get off the roller coaster for good.

The third one will probably surprise you.

Watch the training

That's everything I'd hand a friend on day one.

Take your time with these. This is an ideal starting point.

Cheers,
Matt
